Atelier is the pattern marketplace inside patterners where artists list patterns they made themselves and other members receive or buy them, with 그로브센트 acting as the intermediary. These terms apply together with the Terms of Service.

Chapter 1 General

Article 1 (Purpose)

These terms set out what artists and buyers need to know to list and trade patterns on Atelier, operated by 그로브센트 (the “Company”), and the rights and obligations of the Company, artists and buyers. Matters not covered here follow the Terms of Service.

Article 2 (Definitions)

① “Artist” means a member who has created a seller profile and listed a pattern. ② “Buyer” means a member who has received or bought a pattern. ③ “Pattern” means a digital pattern an artist wrote as a Paper and listed on Atelier. ④ “Version” means a copy of a pattern's content published after the Company's review. ⑤ “Receive” means requesting a free pattern; “buy” means ordering a paid pattern. ⑥ “Review” means the Company's check of listing information and prohibited content before a pattern is published.

Article 3 (The Company's Role)

① The Company acts as a mail-order intermediary brokering transactions between artists and buyers and is not a party to the sale. It says so on the Atelier home screen and on the receive and purchase screens. ② Artists are responsible for the information they list — content, sizing, difficulty, licence and so on — and for their transactions. ③ The Company is nevertheless liable under applicable law for damage caused by its intent or negligence, and performs the duties the E-Commerce Act imposes on intermediaries, such as verifying and providing seller identity information and handling complaints and disputes. ④ Patterns the Company lists as the seller itself are marked on the pattern page, and for those the Company is responsible as the seller.

Chapter 2 Artists

Article 4 (Eligibility and Identity Verification)

① A member becomes an artist by creating a seller profile and agreeing to these terms. ② Under Article 20-4 of the E-Commerce Act, artists must complete mobile identity verification before submitting their first pattern for review. The Company keeps the name, mobile number, date of birth and connecting information (CI) confirmed by an identity verification agency; the CI is stored encrypted in a form that cannot be reversed. ③ Each person may verify only one artist account. ④ Artists under 19 need the consent of their legal guardian, which the Company may check. ⑤ Artists who are businesses must enter their business registration number in their payout details. The Company shows on the pattern page whether an artist is an individual or a business so buyers can tell. ⑥ Artists must update their information without delay when it changes.

Article 5 (Listing and Review)

① Artists list a Paper they made as a pattern and request review. ② The Company checks the listing format, prohibited content and possible infringement, and either approves it or returns it with the reason. Review does not guarantee a pattern's accuracy or quality. ③ Artists must truthfully provide the information buyers need to decide — title, description, images, difficulty, sizes, materials, licence and so on. ④ Artists must provide a preview, such as the cover and some pages, so buyers can judge the content.

Article 6 (Warranty of Rights)

① Artists warrant that they hold the rights to the patterns they list and that the patterns do not infringe others' copyrights, trademarks or other rights. ② When an infringement claim is received, the Company takes interim measures such as suspending publication and notifies the artist, who may respond. ③ Artists compensate the Company or buyers for damage caused by their infringement, except for any part attributable to the Company's intent or negligence.

Article 7 (Licence to the Company)

① Artists allow the Company to use their patterns to the extent needed to publish them, generate previews and thumbnails, show them in search and recommendations, and let buyers view them. ② The Company may use a pattern's main image and title in banners or recommendations to promote Atelier and will stop if the artist asks.

Article 8 (Protection of Listed Papers and Versions)

① The source Paper of a pattern that is published or has been received by a buyer cannot be deleted. ② When an artist edits the source Paper, they can submit it as a new version; once approved it replaces the published pattern, and buyers who already received it see the latest approved version. ③ If an artist stops publishing a pattern, buyers who already received it keep their access.

Article 9 (Prices, Fees and Payouts)

① For now, only free patterns can be listed on Atelier. ② Paid sales are planned for artists on Basic or higher plans. Pricing, commission, handling of payments and payout schedules will be added to these terms, with 30 days' notice, before paid sales begin. ③ The Company does not use artists' payout account details for anything other than payouts.

Article 10 (Removal and Restrictions)

① The Company may stop publishing a pattern or restrict an artist's activity if the artist: 1. Infringes others' rights 2. Gives false pattern information 3. Posts prohibited content 4. Uses false identity details or someone else's 5. Repeatedly fails without good reason to respond to buyers' questions or disputes 6. Otherwise violates the law or these terms ② Except in urgent cases, the Company gives the reason in advance and a chance to respond.

Article 11 (Artists' Duties)

① Artists must answer buyers' questions in good faith. ② Artists must not use buyer information learned through a transaction for any other purpose or share it with others. ③ Artists must not steer buyers into direct deals outside Atelier.

Chapter 3 Buyers

Article 12 (Formation of the Contract)

① When a buyer receives or buys a pattern on its page, a licence contract for the pattern is formed between the artist and the buyer. ② The receive and purchase screens show the artist's information, whether the artist is an individual or a business, the intermediary notice and any limits on withdrawal.

Article 13 (Permitted Use)

① Buyers may view received patterns in the Service and use them to make pieces. ② Use of finished pieces follows the licence shown on the pattern (personal use only, small-batch sales OK, commercial use OK). ③ Buyers must not copy, redistribute, resell or share the pattern itself (including screenshots) or provide it as AI training data. ④ If they do, the Company may restrict their use, and they may be liable to the rights holder.

Article 14 (Version Updates)

When the artist publishes a new version, it also applies to received patterns. If a new version significantly reduces what you received, please tell us through Contact.

Article 15 (Withdrawal)

① Free patterns involve no payment, so withdrawal does not apply; you can remove them from your library at any time. ② Under the Cancellation & Refund Policy, a paid pattern can be withdrawn within 7 days of purchase if you have not yet opened it. Opening a pattern counts as the start of digital content delivery, so withdrawal is then limited under Article 17(2)5 of the E-Commerce Act; the Company shows this on the purchase screen and provides a preview. ③ If a pattern differs from how it was described or advertised, or from the contract, you may withdraw within 3 months of receiving it and within 30 days of when you learned or could have learned of the difference. ④ For transactions where the Company received the payment, the Company handles the refund.

Chapter 4 Questions and Disputes

Article 16 (Asking the Artist)

Buyers can contact the artist directly with “Ask the artist” on the pattern page, and artists must answer in good faith. The artist sees the buyer's nickname and message.

Article 17 (Complaints and Disputes)

① The Company receives complaints and disputes between artists and buyers through Contact, checks the facts, and takes the necessary steps and cooperates in mediation. ② Either party may apply for mediation to bodies such as the Korea Consumer Agency, the E-Commerce Mediation Committee and the Content Dispute Resolution Committee.

Article 18 (Disclosure of Artist Identity)

① Under Article 20-4 of the E-Commerce Act, the Company may provide an artist's identity information (name, mobile number, email, etc.): 1. To a dispute mediation body that requests it for mediation 2. To a court that requests it 3. To the buyer in the transaction concerned, on request, if the artist has consented ② The Company informs the artist when it provides the information, unless the law prohibits this. ③ Business details of artists who are businesses can be seen in the seller information on the pattern page.

Chapter 5 Miscellaneous

Article 19 (Other Terms)

Amendments, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, governing law and jurisdiction, and language follow the Terms of Service.

Addendum

① These terms take effect on October 8, 2026. ② The identity verification in Article 4(2) applies from the first review request made on or after the effective date; patterns already published stay as they are.
